Mukesh Ambani’s family received delivery of the third Rolls Royce Cullinan over the weekend. This Rolls Royce, however, is quite special as it gets a special license plate and the top price due to customization options. The new car was spotted with an entourage of Ambani’s usual safety cars including the Mercedes-AMG G-Wagen and MG Gloster.

Earlier this year, PTI claimed that this new Rolls Royce Cullinan costs Rs 13.14 crore. While the base price of the Rolls Royce Cullinan is Rs 6.8 crore, additional optional items and customization can significantly increase the cost.

While the exact customization options chosen by the Ambanis remain a secret, we can see that the new Cullinan is finished in the brilliant shade of Tuscan Sun color that makes it stand out in a crowd. The paint job alone would have cost just under Rs. 1 crore. It also looks like the car comes with optional 21-inch wheels. The price of alloy wheels is not available online and is only revealed on request.

There are hundreds of possible customization options. We don’t know exactly which ones the Ambani clan chose for the latest Rolls Royce. Video footage of CS12 vlogs shows two of the three Rolls Royce Cullinans owned by the Ambani family in India.

Registration worth Rs 20 lakh

The new Cullinan gets a “0001” registration number. Although it usually costs Rs 4 lakh for the VIP number, according to the RTO, they have chosen the number from a new series as all the numbers from the current series have been taken.

That is why RTO charged Rs 12 lakh for the registration number alone. RTO said that with written permission from the Transport Commissioner, the new series can be launched without exhausting the previous series. However, the RTO charges three times the standard registration cost.

The report further claims that Rs 20 lakh is paid as one-time tax and the registration is valid until January 2037. Additional Rs 40,000 is paid as road safety tax.

Several Rolls Royces in Ambani’s garage

There are several Rolls Royce models in the Ambani garage. Starting with the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, they also have three Rolls Royce Cullinan and a latest generation Phantom Extended Wheelbase, which also costs around Rs 13 crore.

While the media claims that the new car is for Mukesh Ambani himself, this cannot be true. He only travels in armored cars for security reasons and unless the Rolls Royce is armored, rest assured he will not travel there. It looks like the new car is an engagement gift for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The car was registered in January earlier this year.
