New Delhi: In one horrific incident, a car is said to have broken down, crushing a man against a steel structure while it was being repaired. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, we see a man run over by an automatic car he was repairing. The tweet accompanied by the video reads: “Warning: If an automatic vehicle breaks down, never stand in front of the vehicle. Please notify your friends and loved ones. Share this message as an example.

The clip left Twitter users divided on whether the car that appears in the video is indeed an automatic or manual one. One Twitter user remarked, “Seems manual vehicles are safer by all means.” Others have claimed that the car appears to be a manual transmission vehicle left in first gear. “This car is not an AT but an MT. Many people put their MT cars in 1st gear without applying the handbrake when parking it. He forgot the car is in gear while trying to start the car All modern AT cars have many safety features to prevent such incidents,” one user wrote.

This user shared his own personal experience: “Sometimes with an automatic vehicle it even starts with pauses and it’s damn scary. I faced it.”

According to this user, the man should have left the car in park: “Always leave the automatic car in park. He was trying to start the car. Ideally, the automatic car does not start if it is not in park. There must be a problem with the car’s ignition system.”
