NORTH Berwick Rotary Club prepares to celebrate its annual classic car rally on Sunday.
Fifty-six cars have already registered for the event, which will feature a procession of classic vehicles through the East Lothian countryside.
Last year’s event raised over £12,000 and the club hope to raise even more this year, with money going to charities such as Stepping Out and East Lothian Young Carers.
A Rotary spokesperson said: “There is no definition of a classic car, it is simply a car of any age that is loved, appreciated and cherished by its owner.
“Previous entries included a 1929 Chevrolet and a 2016 Mercedes.
“Spectators will see a wide range of sparkling vehicles including MGs, Jaguars, Aston Martins, Morris Minors and many more!
“The rally will start at North Berwick Tesco, with cars checking in from 9am and departing from 10am – it’s a great place to view these stunning vehicles, meet the proud owners and take lots of photos!”
After departing from Tesco at 10am, the rally will then head towards Carfraemill to loop through the Scottish Borders before arriving at Longniddry and returning to North Berwick.
Those wishing to participate in the rally can still do so by emailing [email protected]
The minimum donation for entry is £50.
