THE first Wokingham Classic Car Show is due to take place next month.
Organized by the Wokingham Lions Club, the free event will take place on Saturday July 2.
Over 100 classic, quirky and interesting cars and motorcycles are expected to be on display with a selection of food and drink also available on the day.
Although entry is free, Wokingham Lions chairman Andy Goffin said donations would be “greatly appreciated” to support Leukemia UK and the Men’s Shed in Wokingham.
People who donate £5 or more will receive a unique souvenir for the day.
The event is organized by Wokingham Lion, Bob DuGard, with the help of Graeme Barker, who both held classic car and motorcycle shows at Bearwood College from 2010 to 2013.
Mr DuGard said: ‘On Saturday July 2, the convoy of fabulous vehicles will meet before the show on the Reddam House school grounds, where pupils will offer refreshments to owners, before setting off to travel around the center -town of Wokingham, then onto Elms Field.
“Vehicles on display will include luxury brands such as Porsche, Jaguar and Rolls Royce from local car clubs, as well as classic British and Japanese motorcycles.
“River Radio will provide the music and prizes will be awarded in various categories, such as Best in Show.”
